Dr. Seuss’s stories do not just captivate the children’s imagination, but also teach them important concepts like alliteration and rhyming. The beloved author’s birthday falls on 2nd of March. 1. Hop On Pop Number Balloon Game:

You Will Need:

  • 12 balloons
  • Sharpie
  • Tape
  • Thumbtack

How To:

  1. Tape the balloons to the wall and write a number on each balloon.
  1. Now call out the numbers aloud.
  1. The kids have to listen to the number carefully and locate the balloon with the matching number.
  1. Once they have identified the correct number, they can pop the balloon using a thumbtack. This is an interesting dr seuss games your kid will love to do it.

2. Horton Mask:

You Will Need:

  • Glue
  • Paper
  • Stapler
  • Gray and pink construction paper

How To:

  1. Draw and cut out two elephant ears from the gray construction paper.
  1. Trace and cut out two smaller ears from the pink construction paper. The pink ‘ears’ should be an inch smaller than the gray felt.
  1. Measure your kid’s head and cut out a 3-inch wide strip from the gray construction paper. Staple together the two ends of the paper.
  1. Glue the ears to the side of the band.
  1. When the ‘ears’ have dried, cut out a trunk shape from the gray construction paper.
  1. Fold the trunk like an accordion to give more texture to it.

You Will Need:

  • A white construction paper
  • Printed scrap paper
  • Yarn
  • Hole punch
  • Tape

How To:

  1. Take a half sheet of the white construction paper.
  1. Now cut a pocket shape from the printed scrapbook paper.
  1. Punch holes on both white paper and scrap paper. Make an even number of holes for the lacing to line up correctly.
  1. Tape a yarn to the back of the construction paper right at the starting hole. Cover the end of the yarn with a tape to make lacing easier for kids.
  1. Once your kid has laced all the pockets, tell him to make the wocket.
  1. Give him a piece of paper and ask to do the doodling.

  • Orange Acrylic Paint
  • Miniature Terracotta Pot
  • Sponge Brush
  • Yellow Adhesive Felt
  • Scissors
  • Seeds or Seed “Bombs.”
  • Soil
  • Googly Eyes
  • Orange Pompom
  • Craft Glue

How To:

  1. Tell your child to paint the terracotta pot with the orange acrylic paint. Leave the pot to dry.
  1. Now cut mustache and eyebrow shapes from the yellow felt. Tell your child to attach the eyebrows and mustache to the pot.
  1. Now tell him to attach the googly eyes and an orange pompom for the nose using glue.

  • A red sock
  • Red felt
  • Googly eyes
  • Black marker
  • Black pompom
  • Hot glue gun

How To:

  1. Download a fox face template from the internet and trace on the red felt. Now tell your kid to cut out the shape neatly.
  1. After cutting out the head, tell your child to glue the googly eyes and pompom for the nose.
  1. Now tell him to give detailing to the fox’s face using the black marker.
  1. Affix the fox’s face to the red sock giving a few stitches. Your puppet is ready.

6. “The Lorax” Truffula Tree Pencils:

  • Black acrylic paint
  • White acrylic paint
  • Glue gun
  • Paintbrush
  • Feather boa or feather trim

How To:

  1. Tell your kid to paint the pencils using the white acrylic paint. Leave it to dry.
  1. Now apply another coat of white paint.
  1. Take the end of the feather boa, put a dot of glue on it, and begin rolling. Keep adding a dot of glue every few inches.

  • “The Shape of Me and Other Stuff” book by Dr. Seuss
  • Paper towel
  • Washable markers
  • Paintbrush & small cup of water

How To:

  1. Tell your kid to draw shapes similar to what he sees in the book on the paper towel with the marker.
  1. Now tell him to dip the paint brush is some water and paint over the marker.
  1. When done, discuss with him how the shapes changed.

8. Cat In The Hat Rollups:

  • TP Roll
  • Red scrap paper
  • White Cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Dowel
  • Tape or glue
  • Markers or crayons

How To:

  1. Cut out ¾-inch strips from the red scrap paper and stick on the white card stock leaving a 1-inch gap.
  1. Now draw and cut out the hat top and the hat brim from the white cardstock.
  1. Tell your child to take the top and brim of the hat to the roll.
  1. Wrap the red and white paper around the TP roll.
  1. Cut out the picture from the template and tell your child to paint it. Attach it to the back of the dowel. Pack the dowel through the top of the hat.

  • A single link chain bracelet
  • Coordinating ribbon colors
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

How To:

  1. Cut the ribbon in various lengths. 1 ½ inch to 2 ½ inches would be perfect.
  1. Tie the pieces of ribbon to the chain. Tell your child to follow a color and pattern order. Repeat the method until you get it all the way around the bracelet. The bracelet is ready!

10. Make Dr. Seuss Green Eggs And Ham Deviled Egg:

  • 4 hard-boiled eggs

  • Yellow mustard
  • Green food coloring
  • Worcestershire sauce

How To:

  1. Boil the eggs and peel the shells of the eggs. Cut the eggs in half.
  1. Now tell your kid to scoop out the yolks and mash using a fork.
  1. Now have them add mayonnaise, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to it.
