You Will Need:

  • White construction paper
  • Grey crayons
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Scissors
  • A small nut
  • Glue

How To:

  1. Show your preschooler how to draw a picture of a simple squirrel on the white construction paper using a pencil and eraser.
  1. Help him cut out the shape of a squirrel using scissors.
  1. Paint the squirrel grey with the help of grey crayon.
  1. Paste a small nut in the paws of the squirrel using the glue.

2. Coffee Grounds Squirrel:

  • Squirrel template or pattern

How To:

  1. Place the squirrel pattern on a brown construction paper and trace its shape using a pencil. Cut out the traced squirrel using scissors.

How To:

  1. Show your preschooler how to arrange the orange feathers such that they should appear like the curved tail of a small squirrel. Paste the arranged feathers on the card paper using the glue.
  1. Help your kid to cut out the squirrel’s body out of the orange felt, and paste it on the card paper.

How To:

  1. Show your preschooler how to paint a wooden spoon grey using the paint brush.
  1. Help your kid to cut a curved tail of squirrel out of the grey felt with the help of scissors.
  1. Cut the edges of the tail to make the tail fluffy.
  1. Paste the tail along the spoon using the glue.
