These Newborns Romeo And Juliet Are Making News And How

We all dream of having a love life as fanciful as that of some of the love-pairs we’ve grown up hearing about. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet are one of those most romantic pairs literature has ever had.

So, when two little ones born in the same hospital were named after the two lovers, the social media went crazy about them.

Two newbies, born hours apart in Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville, South Carolina, were named Romeo and Juliet by their respective parents. It was just an interesting coincidence, but people already began wondering if they will become a love couple in future. Well, it’s too early to say.

The two families hailing from South Carolina, neither met nor had known each other earlier. The delivery was scheduled on March 26th, but the mothers were induced early. The same doctor delivered the babies at Coastal Carolina Hospital on Sunday and Monday. Baby Romeo was born at 2.06 pm on Sunday, and after 18 hours and eight minutes, baby Juliet was born. The families chose the names much before the delivery, and neither of them was inspired by William Shakespeare, the families say.

The parents were elated and went ahead with the duo photo shoot of the babies. The Hernandez couple said, “We chose the name Romeo as we love the singer Romeo Santos.”

The Shiffletts chose the name Juliet as they wanted a name with J to match with their older son Jonas’ name, which is why they picked Juliet after the character’s name Jules in the TV show ‘Psych’.

The parents had no idea about the coinciding names until the photographer Cassie Clayshulte, who came in to shoot pictures for the family, pointed this out.

The photographs by Clayshulte show the adorable babies with a Romeo and Juliet theme.

She posted the photos of the newborns on her Facebook page, and needless to say, the photographs went viral.

The couples are already planning a joint Shakespearean-themed first birthday party for their Romeo and Juliet.

The photographer says, “I had told them that if they want to book me now as their wedding photographer, they could do that.”

That is planning way in advance, don’t you think? But that’s the story of Romeo Hernandez and Juliet Shifflett for you.
