1. Pregnancy Bras

Well, gone are the days when you were looking for something sexy! Now, comfort takes the highest position. And nothing seems more important than the right bra. Throughout the pregnancy, you will find your breasts going crazy, so the best thing to do is to hold them in the right bras. You can go for comfort bras. Maternity bras usually come with wider straps, extra hooks, and soft underlining. There are also nursing bras and maternity bras that you will find useful during pregnancy and after the delivery respectively.

Tip: Change your bra when it gets tighter.

2. Breast Pads

The next important bosom thingy that you need to buy during your pregnancy are the breast pads. Why? Well, pregnancy marks the onset of leaky fluid that is nothing but a sign that your boobs are gearing up for milk production for the baby. There’s nothing to worry about this leakage. And to hold the leaks, you need the breast pads. There are different types of breast pads available. You can choose the washable ones as well as the buy-and-throw ones.

For the curious mommies: The yellowish fluid that comes from your breasts is known as colostrum. This is high in protein and low in fat and sugar. It is the first batch of milk that your baby gets.

3. Balm For Your Nipples

I told you things on this list may turn weird! So, here it is, a balm for your nipples. This is to help your nipples get hydrated, much like your lip balm. During pregnancy, the nipple area may get dried up and even show cracked skin, here this balm can be your saviour.

Point to be noted: If you observe dryness in nipples along with other changes like cracked heels, dry skin, etc. this might also indicate low iodine levels in your body. So, a doctor’s consultation is advised under such conditions.

4. Breast Oil

While the dry nipples is a thing, of course, pregnancy also brings in growing breasts. Along with gaining weight, you will find your boobs become larger too. Hence, an oil to keep them soothed is very much important. Just like your skin needs moisturizing during winter, your breasts need oiling during pregnancy.

5. Breast Pillows

Yes, you read it right. Like I already mentioned about your girls getting larger, this will help you carry them. According to the American Pregnancy Association, tenderness, itchiness, and darkening around the nipples are expected changes during pregnancy. So, these boob supporting pillows will help you carry the weight of your boobs. This definitely will bring down the load, a little.

6. Ice Packs

Another thing that you will find very helpful during pregnancy are ice packs. Buy them to buy the comfort! According to Tsipporah Shainhouse, M.D., a Los Angeles dermatologist who especially works with pregnant women, ice packs can work wonder when used over the moisturizer that you use over your breasts during episodes of itchiness around your breasts.

Leaky, itchy, sore and much more! Your breasts will be a particular area to reflect changes of pregnancy in you. You will feel uncomfortable, uneasy, and many a times you will even feel low to see how your body is growing bigger and heavier. But a little patience and smart shopping can get the right things to make your pregnancy easier. I hope the list above will be helpful and if you have to add to the list, do mention in the comments below.
