10 Baby Products Mommies Can't Let Go

I always wondered about the effort going into the making of baby products. To make and design a product for a baby requires utmost care, love, and of course safety and usability. My kids are way beyond the baby stage, but I almost always spend hours probing, examining, and observing the beauty of the products whenever I am at a baby store.

Baby products are just as adorable as the babies. The lovely hues and the soft textures are therapeutic. You buy a lot of things for your baby, but you end up not using most of them, either because they didn’t serve the purpose or because they have outgrown way too quickly.

Back then when I was just about sorting the stuff my baby required and discarding the things he didn’t need, I kept aside a few for myself as there were some I couldn’t let go. Are you wondering, what could they be? Here’s the thing – you don’t have to be a baby to use baby products.

Here are the baby products perhaps all mothers want for themselves and indulge in:

  1. Body wash and body lotion: They smell great and make my skin smooth. You don’t have to worry about the effect of harsh chemicals on your body as these products are gentle and mild and the skin is well moisturized.
  1. Diaper bag: Can’t stress enough on the importance of having a diaper bag. I had a unisex bag that was so cool and cute, I would never want to part with it. It’s always a good idea to buy a unisex diaper bag for future use. You could store in so many things or carry it along for short travels.
  1. Baby pillow: Who said it’s for babies? I can use it too. It’s amazingly soft and comforting that my kids and I now fight over it while sleeping.
  1. Glider: This was such a comforting rocky chair for my baby, but now I can convert this it into a cushy chair and can snuggle into with a book.
  1. Neck pillow: It serves as a great support for my neck when I am on my couch watching television, and is a life saver whenever I have a stiff neck.
  1. Swaddling blankets: They are light and soft and I love them as they are made of muslin. If not for my entire body, I can use it to half cover myself when I’m sitting on a chair and reading.
  1. Diaper changing table: I haven’t used it to the maximum extent, but now I use that as a corner table that supports a beautiful vase.
  1. Insulated thermos: It’s an all-time usable product. I carry it along every time I go for a walk or travel out. At home, I use it to keep some warm water handy.
  1. Baby blanket: These are ultra-soft, and easy for carrying while traveling. Serves right in times of emergency.
  1. Silicone cups and bowls: These cups score high on cute ranking. They are just perfect for a scoop of ice-cream or a dessert.

I know it sounds silly to be using baby products for an adult, but trust me most mommies end up doing just that. I miss buying those baby products, but I never miss a chance to accompany my friends who want to buy some. Here is a tiny tip for all moms out there – don’t hoard more than what the baby requires. The chances are that you might end up buying some baby products for yourself.

So, what are those baby products you want for yourself? We would love to hear from you.
