5 Celebrities Who Opened Up About Their Miscarriages

Dealing with a miscarriage can be an extremely painful and hard time for any woman. The sudden realization that the fetus is no more can take a major hit on the emotional health of most mothers, causing them to grieve the loss of their baby for several weeks to months. A miscarriage can occur anywhere between the first 20 weeks of gestation. And the statistics show that about 15-20% of all known pregnancies will end in a miscarriage (1). This number can be considered fairly high or fairly low depending on how one looks at it.

Miscarriage is also one of the reasons why many couples choose to keep the news of their pregnancy under wraps until the third trimester. And while most of us would understand and respect the need for privacy for some couples during such trying times, celebrities often have to bear the brunt of the media since they are constantly under public scrutiny. And that’s probably one of the many reasons why most celebrities choose not to talk about it even if it had happened to them. However, there are a few who came forward and shared their experiences, helping others to cope with it. Let’s take a look at the 5 celebrities who opened up about their miscarriages:
