Postpartum Baby Bump Pictures Show The Reality Of Pregnancy

While every woman is aware that her body will change during pregnancy, the magnanimity of it can still leave her surprised. But even more than that, what stuns a new mom is how long it takes for her body to attain its pre-pregnancy glory. Of course, pregnancy, as well as motherhood, are no cakewalk, either emotionally or physically. And, the biggest challenge that a woman faces during this journey is to get her body back on track post the delivery. Most women don’t really bounce back to their earlier self magically; it takes quite a bit of time as well as effort.

Given that there are many actresses and models out there who make this journey look unrealistically easy, it becomes important to talk about the “real” picture. A famous nutritionist from New Zealand, Julie Bhosale, did exactly that. She shared a series of her pictures post-pregnancy, tracing the manner in which her body actually changed during the time.

Julie shared these pics with fellow new moms to make them aware of how a body truly transforms after the childbirth. She hopes that this will help new moms have a positive approach towards their body. Julie’s photos make it clear that recovery is a time-consuming process. And, what is necessary is that new mothers stay calm and patient during this phase.

Feeling depressed and insecure when it comes to one’s body image is pretty common. But, looking at these pics might just give you a new perspective altogether. Maybe, you will even fall in love with the miraculous way in which your body changes during pregnancy. And, even afterward. You may even begin to appreciate the time that your body takes to come back to its former glory. Now, without further ado, let us bring you all the pics shared by Julie:

Did you look at the pic again just to double-check? We can’t blame you; there is no difference at all in the way her body appears before and after the delivery of her little one. In fact, if she wasn’t holding her baby in the arms, we might not even realize which pic belongs to which phase.

Oh, this is the phase when you feel super-exhausted given how you are still figuring out the ins and outs of pregnancy. And, the guests continue to pop in at odd hours because everyone wants to meet the little bundle of joy. You might not even have the time to shower, let alone having the time to focus on your body.

As you can see, the baby belly is still there. And, so are those pajamas, since there is still no time to focus on anything else but the tiny angel. While everyone expects you to fit into the pre-baby clothes, even the idea sounds like a joke to you, isn’t it?

In this pic, we see that the tummy has contracted down quite a bit. As Julie puts it in a light, funny way, her swollen tummy has now become more like a jiggly one. Her belly area now has a bit of a stretched, extra skin.

It has been over three months and Julie is now officially out of that zone. The “newborn” zone. Also, you can see her proudly flaunting her signs of motherhood. The “flat” tummy still has its share of stretch marks and sunken scars.
