Prof. Sameh Shehata has an experience of 37 years and was the ex-chairman of the pediatric surgery department at the faculty of medicine, University of Alexandria, Egypt, and ex-president of the IPEG Middle East chapter. He also headed the World Federation of Associations of Pediatric Surgery (WOFAPS). Dr. Shehata is known for his innovation of laparoscopic traction for the intra-abdominal testis. Called the Shehata technique, it is now used by several practitioners across the world.
