Michelle Ahmed started her career as a clinician at The Family Institute, Northwestern University. She earned a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at the institute and trained to integrate different therapy models such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Michelle’s principal clinical focus is in the domains of trauma, racism and oppression, cultural identity issues, depression, substance abuse, and family conflict, to name a few.Michelle uses various approaches for her patients' treatment, including the integration of art and dance to promote a better connection between the mind and the body. She strives to provide compassion combined with affirmation and transparency when working with her clients, which include children from the age of eight to adults.
