Childhood and cartoons go hand in hand. Back in the 90s, kids loved to go out and play. As much as we loved hide and seek, lock and key, tag, running and catching and other such games, what we loved more were priceless, irreplaceable cartoons. As 90s kids, we were privileged to have some of the best cartoons that time has ever seen and today we are here to discuss how much we want them back on our screens. So let’s go on a trip down memory lane with these legendary cartoons:

No matter what your age is, this is one cartoon that you cannot help but enjoy. Jerry’s shenanigans and Tom’s constant attempt to catch him kept us entertained for hours through our childhood. This cartoon showed us the first love-hate relationship that two friends can share and we could not get enough.

A gang of innovators and creators, Bob and his business partner Wendy took care of construction, repairs, and fixing things. The theme song was so catchy and we all still remember his positive attitude and reinforcing slogan—“Can we do it? Yes, we can!”.

One cartoon that set in a feeling of fascination in every kid, The Jetsons were a family living in a utopian society. They lived a life that was more than perfect and every kid who watched it could not help but imagine such a life for themselves. Besides, the theme song was very catchy and Jetsons fans would probably still remember it.

In a world of fantasy, Ash Ketchum and his friends travel from city to city capturing pokemon and training to be pokemon masters. The show had Pokemon battles, surviving in the wild, and important lessons about friendship and determination. Not to mention, Team Rocket was the enemy team who were defeated all the time.

Siblings Max and Emmy, find a magic stone that takes them into a magical world where they find dragons and befriend them. They solve mysteries and problems together and become quite the tight-knit group.

This was one of the purest and soothing cartoons for kids. It revolved around the octopus Oswald and his dog Weenie who went around town spreading kindness and compassion. He was ever ready to help and was loved by all. As kids, we all wished to be like him.

A sea sponge that embraces the adventures at sea while working as a cook at Krusty Krab, SpongeBob SquarePants was a children’s favorite. To date, it is popular among millennials and they hold this show in high regard.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice made this show one of the best shows during the ‘90s. They were three sisters with superpowers who saved their town from evildoers time and again. Despite being superpowered girls, their father Professor Utonium still made them live normal lives otherwise.

We all wished to be as genius as Dexter every time we watched this show. His sister Dee Dee often interfered with his inventions and messed it up but that did not stop him from creating genius innovations.

Popeye was probably the only reason we ate our greens. He showed us why eating spinach is important. His wisecracking sailor character saved the ship from enemies and his girlfriend and long time love interest Olive kept him grounded.

If we’ve come across our friends naming their dogs Scooby, it is most likely named after this cartoon. Scooby and Shaggy are inseparable. They drive around town in their green van called the Mystery Machine and solve spooky mysteries with their friends.

The only family that made the stone age look cool, the Flintstones were a modern-day stone-age family. Talk about irony! It was a show that gave children the possible idea of how the world worked back when dinosaurs and humans lived on the planet.

Possibly one of the coolest shows that was ever made, SWAT Kats ensured that every kid was engrossed in the show. T-Bone and Razor, two feline friends create their jets and protect the city using secret identities. They were probably the first masked vigilantes that inspired our modern-day superhero characters.

These cartoons were not only fun and exciting but highly educational too. We hope we evoked a sense of nostalgia among you and wish that these cartoons are aired on TV again. We were lucky enough to watch these super cool cartoons while growing and wish our kids would enjoy the awesomeness of them too.
