Dr Sarah Jane Karabus

Dr. Sarah Karabus runs an allergology practice at the Chest and Allergy Centre at Netcare Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town. She has over 14 years of experience and is also a consultant and senior lecturer In Allergology in the Department of Allergy at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and the University of Cape Town.

Having graduated from the University of Cape Town Medical School in 1999, she practiced pediatrics in the UK and passed the membership examination of the Royal College of Paediatrics in 2004. Subsequently, she obtained a Diploma of Allergology after completing sub-specialist postgraduate training in Allergology in the Division of Allergy and Asthma at UCT.

Dr. Karabus has several publications in her name and made presentations at national and international allergy conferences. In addition, she has contributed to several chapters in the Allergy Society of South Africa Handbook of Allergy.
