If there is one power couple in Bollywood who are polar opposites of each other, it’s Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. While Akshay is diplomatic, his wife is famous for being blunt with her words. One is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys outdoor activities, while the other loves to curl up in a corner reading a book. Akshay and Twinkle’s marriage has been going strong for almost 2 decades now, and their different personalities is probably what makes their marriage strong and exciting. When Akshay Forgot Twinkle’s Birthday

When the couple appeared on a talk show, Twinkle revealed how he had forgotten her birthday once while they were dating and got her a paperweight as a birthday gift. Akshay said that since he had realized it only at the last minute, he didn’t have enough time to go and buy her a present. He found a paperweight at his house and decided to quickly wrap it. Talking about the same, Twinkle revealed that she was not entirely happy with his gift and had told him that she would make sure he buys her a diamond as big as the paperweight one day. And she got her wish.
What Started As A Fling…

Akshay and Twinkle’s relationship had started off as a fling. At least that’s what Twinkle had wanted when she started seeing Akshay. The actress had just been out of a long-term relationship and didn’t want to get into anything serious. As quoted by Mrs Funnybones, Akshay was “six feet of chocolate ice cream” that she would have a fling with for about 15 days because that’s how long their outdoor schedule would last. Twinkle revealed that she was bored while shooting in Calgary for a movie with Akshay as she ran out of books and had no access to TV.
When Twinkle Refused To Have A Second Child

Twinkle Khanna had once revealed that she had told Akhsya they won’t have a second child if he doesn’t choose movies more sensibly. The couple is now doting parents to two kids, Aarav and Nitara. The actor had his share of hits and flops before establishing himself as one of the highest-paid actors in Hindi cinema. The actor had hit a very low phase when he delivered 14 flop movies. Akshay credits his wife for helping him choose movies and scripts more diligently.
A Doting Husband

Talking to a leading publication, the actor revealed how babysitting is a tough job. The actor had stayed at home with his daughter Nitara when his wife was touring Europe and his son was taking a two-week course study at Oxford. The actor was shooting for a movie at that time. He had confessed how he now has newfound admiration for his wife as constantly looking after a little girl is no easy job. Twinkle Khanna had also shared an image on social media with the caption, “Father and son busy making soufflé and layered white chocolate mousse for our dinner guests. I’ve trained my boys well :) #sundayshenanigans.”
From Building Dollhouses To Getting His Toenails Painted

Akshay shares a cool and unique bond with his kids. He loves spending time with his daughter Nitara and enjoys reading books with his kids as his daughter loves reading everything from Ramayana to ladybirds. He also builds dollhouses with his daughter and doesn’t shy away from getting his nails painted in a color his daughter likes the most. The actor also considers it extremely important to instill the right values in them and make sure they don’t take anything for granted. Akshay values family time and exclusively dedicates some amount of time every day to spend with his kids when he returns home from work.
Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for Ranjit M Tewari’s Bell Bottomin Scotland. He left for the shoot a few days ago along with his family and a few members of the film crew. The movie is slated to release on April 2, 2025.
