Recently, actress Anita Hassanandani confirmed the news of her pregnancy via a mushy Instagram video. The Naagin 3 actress also opened up about her decision to have a baby and why she believes age is just a number.
New Mommy In Tinseltown

The actress is expecting her first child with entrepreneur husband, Rohit Reddy, and is due in February next year. The couple tied the knot in a beautiful Goan wedding in 2013. But the decision to start a family only crossed their minds after they participated in the reality dance show, Nach Baliye in 2019. The actress says that neither of their families pressured them to start a family. It was only after Nach Baliye that they felt prepared to start a family and that it was time to embrace parenthood. Talking to an entertainment daily, the actress also revealed how Nach Baliye is not something they could’ve done after a child. They would have to at least wait a few years for the baby to grow up. So they decided to keep it on hold until they are free work-wise as she didn’t want to have a hectic work schedule during her pregnancy. The actress also says that the timing was perfect because of the lockdown as they got to spend more time with each other. The couple is excited and ready for this new phase of their lives and believes that everything is God’s plan.
Becoming A Mother In Late 30s

Embracing motherhood in her late 30s came with its share of uneasiness. The age factor did cross the actress’s mind and people warned her that it was going to be tough. Though it did overwhelm her, the 39-year-old realized that age is just a number as she was able to conceive naturally. The actress believes in the power of destiny and thinks that one has to be mentally and physically fit for things to work out accordingly. Both of them are now financially settled and prepared physically and mentally to be new parents.
The mom-to-be believes it’s important for parents-to-be to take care of their physical and mental health. Being someone who goes with the flow, the actress tries not to feel stressed because of the current pandemic situation and avoids taking undue pressure. A firm believer in God and His plan, the actress believes in the higher power and that everything will work out in the end.

When asked who is the fussy parent between the duo, Anita takes the name of her husband. The dad-to-be is arming himself by reading baby books and making sure she gets all the nutrients she needs and follows a healthy diet.
Earlier, rumors have been doing the rounds that the couple is opting for surrogacy. However, the actress put an end to all the buzz and revealed that she would like to do it the normal way.
How Love Sparked Between The Duo

Rohit had noticed Anita way before their first official encounter as they used to work out in the same gym. But it wasn’t until he met her again at a pub that he decided to approach her. Seeing Anita wait for her car, Rohit made his way to the actress by coming up with the corniest line. He continued to pursue her through social media, and they met again through a mutual friend. Rohit was completely unaware of Anita’s career or that she was a famous television personality. Anita was drawn to Rohit because of his cute dimple and attractive physique, and also because she found him to be a real gentleman. After going on a few dates, they both realized that they are in this for the long haul.

The mom-to-be has been working continuously ever since she was 16, and was confident about getting back to work soon after her delivery. But now that she is with a bump, Anita reveals that her priorities are shifting and right now, she doesn’t care about work or when she will return. The actress is focused on enjoying her pregnancy—the baby kicks and flutters—and has prioritized basking in this new feeling of motherhood.
