It’s the year 2020 and the internet has taken over the world. With social media apps that are flooding the internet, several users are engaging in different challenges that are gaining popularity. With all this being around, there is no denying that we see a lot of peculiar things on the internet. Some of them are just outright hilarious but a lot of them make us uncomfortable too. Recently, a trend that got a lot of attention on Twitter was the baby X-ray challenge. Today we are here to show you something out of the ordinary and while it might make you uneasy, hold on to your funny bone and try to find the humor in them.

A twitter user said, “Madeleine McCann who?” while posting a hilarious picture of the kid in the device but pretending to make some cocktails. She pretends to pour some vodka into it. Several other images of baby X-rays were shared and the more you look at it, the funnier it gets.

Some parents even shared their experiences of how scary it was to put their kids in those X-ray machines even though they are guaranteed to be safe. A Twitter user said that she was terrified when they first put her baby in the machine and she bawled her eyes out. She said that she wasn’t prepared for it and did not know what to expect, and that scared her. She also added that while the pictures turn out to be funny, it is quite scary to witness it in person, especially when it’s your first time and you don’t know what to expect.

While the pictures turned out to be hilarious, no doubt, many parents were concerned about the safety of their babies. But it turned out to be completely safe. Parents even felt comfortable with the device because it was named “Pigg-O-Stat” and is specially designed to serve a purpose. It does not harm the babies.
A few pictures of the device being used had gone viral in 2019 and it was discovered that the baby’s movements were restricted when they were in the machine and how this was a good thing. A radiographer had explained in a long post on Reddit about the amazing utility of the Pigg-O-Stat X-ray machine. He explained that parents don’t always have a hold of their baby when they are lying down on their bare chest. This causes a lot of movement which not only ends up being useless for the baby but also exposes the parents to harmful radiation.
He explained saying that the device is perfect to immobilize an infant in the proper position so that they get the right imaging for the chest and abdomen. The best part about the Pigg-O-Stat is that it does not subject the child to unnecessary radiation. He says that he would rather put a child in a contraption that does not hurt them for a few moments than exposing them to harmful radiation.
