Actor, model, producer, and social worker Dia Mirza, and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi, have welcomed the arrival of a lovely baby boy. This is the couple’s first child together, and this was announced on Twitter on Wednesday, 14th July 2021. However, the baby was born in May, and for personal reasons, Dia had not shared any pictures of the little one on social media. In the note of their announcement, they went on to say that the baby boy has been named Avyaan Azaad Rekhi.
Dia Mirza shared the news on most of her social media accounts, accompanied by a picture of the little one’s hand, as well as a long note about the entire event. She revealed that it was a premature birth and that the exact date of birth was on 14th May.
The actor quoted Elizabeth Stone, describing what it feels like to have a child. She repeated the journalist’s words that stated that having a child is to decide forever to have your heart walk around outside your body. We absolutely agree with her on that one! She said that this quote perfectly sums up what both she and her husband Vaibhav are feeling at this point. She went on to call her son their “heartbeat” and said that the baby was a little miracle as he was born prematurely.

The actress, unfortunately, had an appendectomy during her pregnancy, which gave rise to various complications. In addition to that, she also ended up with a bacterial infection. Without immediate medical intervention, it could have led to sepsis, putting both mother and child at risk, and it could have been life-threatening. Owing to all of these complications, the actor had to have an emergency C-section birth. She expressed her gratitude to all the nurses and doctors who gave it their best shot to take care of her baby, who was in the neonatal ICU due to complications.

Having a baby is a profound experience, and this is something that Dia Mirza beautifully worded, saying that both she and her husband are on a learning curve of their own, thanks to the birth of their baby boy. They are slowly but surely learning the importance of trusting the universe, as well as parenthood as a whole.
She went on to say that they were in awe and have learned so much from their baby. The actress said that they witnessed his resilience and courage.
Dia Mirza, along with her husband, went on to thank everyone, particularly their well-wishers. Both mother and child required round-the-clock care and attention, and this would not have been possible without the caretakers who were around them at that time.

At the end of her post, the actor went on to say that her baby will be home soon from the hospital and that Avyaan’s elder sister, Samaira, is eagerly waiting for him. She also added that his grandparents are waiting to welcome the little boy with open arms!
She isn’t one to ignore her fans, so she especially thanked all her fans, saying that their concern has meant the world to her. She mentioned that she did take the time to share the news, but we completely understand that she had her reasons for doing so. She went on to thank her fans for their love, faith, light, and prayers.
