Easter Activities For Toddlers

Every festival has its specialty. Whether it is the theme, decor, food, or type of clothing, they are specific to the celebrations, which brings out the festival’s excitement. With Easter coming up, every child is thrilled about the tons of Easter eggs they get to eat, the delicious food, and, let’s not forget, the Easter bunnies! If you’re a toddler mom and want your children to enjoy the festival more than usual, you could organize fun activities that will keep them entertained and busy throughout the day. But remember to keep them age-appropriate so that your toddlers don’t feel like it’s a school project. It’s about having a relaxing but fun time. So here are a few activities that you could do for Easter to keep your toddlers happy and entertained:

1. Egg Decoration

What’s more fun than decorating eggs? If you’re worried that your toddlers will break the eggs and create a whole mess for you to clean up, we’ve got a solution for you. Buy dummy eggs from the local store and give them to your toddlers. These eggs are made of wood or other hard substances that do not break easily. They could paint them, draw on them or even decorate them with glitter, sparkles, or sequins. The important thing is to let their imagination run free and see what they come up with.

2. Easter Dress Up

Most kids love to play dress-up. But more importantly, parents love to dress their children up. You’re probably lying if you say you don’t enjoy watching your kids wearing cute bunny ears and trying to keep their bunny noses in place. It’s cute, and there’s nothing more adorable than that. Dress your kids up in bunny outfits and enjoy watching them go about their day in those clothes. You could also organize a fancy dress show to encourage your friends to bring their kids too.

3. Get Crafty

Art and craft are not limited to decorating eggs. You could create bunny art with chart paper, sponges, ribbon and help your kids while they learn from you. If your toddlers are below age three, it might be a good idea to guide them and teach them step by step. They might find it hard to follow your crafty hands if you don’t. You could also create bunnies out of sponges and dress them up. Another good way to help a sponge bunny look dapper is by using ribbons as a cute bow.

4. Nothing Like Play Dough

Every kid loves play dough. It’s fun, colorful, and easy to lose track of time when you’re engaging in them. Get your kids a play dough set and watch them jump with excitement. It’s so much fun that you might be tempted to play with it yourself. Try to resist the temptation to take it away from them, or do you have to? You’re the parent, after all! (JK)

5. Egg Hunting

If you want your kids to spend some time outdoors, here’s a fun activity you can have them do. Hide artificial eggs in your backyard and tell them to find them. You could hide them in between pots, plants, tree barks, flowers, or grass. The kid with the most eggs wins. Simple but a whole lot of fun. An activity like this keeps them on their toes, and it’s enjoyable. It helps them use various skills and builds a sense of healthy competition too.

When you have kids, festivals might seem like a lot of work. You might feel like there won’t be time to relax or have fun because you’ll have to spend all your time taking care of your kids. But, that does not have to be the case. Kids love festivals and celebrations (well, mostly). All you gotta do is find ways to make it fun for them so they don’t get bored. You’ll have a great time too. Which of these activities are you excited to try with your toddlers? Comment below and let us know!
