After a brief break from his career, the ace comedian has come back with the second season of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’ The show has been raising the TRPs off the roof ever since it aired on the small screen and he is winning the nation’s heart yet again with his comedy show. The man who has been reigning the small screen for a while now with his star-studded show is soon going to take on the role of a father in real life.

On December 12th, 2018, Kapil got hitched to his girlfriend, Ginni Chatrath. The two had been dating for a while before they made things official. They had a lavish wedding following Sikh rituals and another with Anand Karaj ceremony in Jalandhar, his wife’s hometown. Kapil planned to have a low-key affair but later decided to go big as per the wishes of his mother and the bride’s family. The couple tied the knot in the presence of close friends and family members. The duo also hosted multiple wedding receptions in Mumbai, Amritsar, and Delhi which included his friends from the industry as well.

Recently rumors were rife that the two were going to be parents soon as Ginni is expecting. The couple has neither confirmed nor dismissed these rumors and has chosen to keep mum until now.
According to a leading news portal, the couple had not had a honeymoon because of Kapil’s busy work schedule. But the comedian is planning to take a break and enjoy a 10-day babymoon to Canada with his pregnant wife to make up for the long-overdue honeymoon. Ginni is assumed to be in her second trimester and had adjusted well to Kapil’s work schedule. Kapil wants to take some time off from work to spend more time with his wife during this happy phase of their lives.

For those who are unaware of their love affair, they both met during college days. According to a news portal, Kapil used to doo auditions in HVM college in Jalandhar and also direct plays to make some pocket money. He also added that the two became friends after that and Ginni used to cook and bring food for him. But Kapil had always thought she did it out of respect. His friend used to taunt him saying she liked him, but he never believed him. Kapil confronted Ginni one day to confirm if it’s true, and she denied. The two later met at a youth festival where he introduced her to his mother as one of his students. Kapil then auditioned for the Laughter Challenge and didn’t make it through. He then asked Ginni never to contact again as he didn’t see a future to their friendship. The reason being her financial status was better than his and they were from different castes. When Kapil auditioned again and got selected the second time, Ginni called and congratulated him.

Talking to another leading news portal, Kapil had said that his mother had been asking him to get married for a very long time. He realized that he was also getting older and it would be hard to find someone to get married later in life. On March 2017, Kapil had announced his relationship with Ginni on Twitter with a sweet post. Fans had been waiting for them to tie the knot and make things official since then. And now with the news of Ginni’s pregnancy, we are sure his fans are ecstatic and waiting for the couple themselves to confirm the news.
