Here's How The Quarantine Helped Arvind And Arjun Reddy Enter The Champions Book Of World Records

The year 2020 has been a memorable one for all of us. The world was hit with a novel coronavirus that hampered our daily life. It came in the way of several jobs, businesses, curriculum, travel, education opportunities, etc. Nations and governments declared lockdowns to protect its citizens from the virus, and most of this year was spent trying to survive the pandemic. Because of this, one of the most significant changes that occurred was that the world slowed down. In this fast-paced world, taking a break from the daily routine seemed impossible. But the global pandemic made that happen, and people got to spend a lot of time with their families, neighbors, and most importantly themselves.

During a time like this, families got an opportunity to spend quality time with each other. Until then, parents were too busy working and children were caught up in the everyday shenanigans of school, homework, assignments, and projects. But with the pandemic, everyone got a break from their rushed life to take some time off and focus on what they genuinely love. One such person is Arvind Reddy, who dedicated time for his passion and made the Champions Book of World Records. So, how did it happen? Read this article to find out.

During quarantine, both Arvind and his older brother Arjun were introduced to jigsaw puzzles. Their parents got them puzzles to keep them busy during the lockdown as they were bored in the house and were not allowed to go out. In just a few days, both the children developed a keen interest in solving jigsaw puzzles. They spent hours focused on solving the puzzles and would even challenge themselves to break record time.

Navitha Reddy, the mother of two talented boys, bought them age-appropriate puzzles to solve. One day, Navitha noticed that her younger son observed his elder brother cracking India’s map keenly. His determination to solve the puzzle was commendable. He watched his brother for 3 days, and on the 4th day, he tried to solve it. Arvind was initially confused, but with dedication, practice, and Arjun’s help, he solved it.

After a few days, they noticed that little Arvind would solve the puzzle almost 5 times a day and not get bored. His brother would time him and try to break his record. Being a mother who was proud of this, Navitha took a video and posted it on a Facebook group. Several people suggested that they be enrolled in the Champions Book of World Records on recognizing these talented kids. After contacting them and going through the process, the kids won a place in the book of records!

Arvind Reddy, who was only in pre-kg, was awarded the youngest kid for solving a 100+ piece puzzle of the Indian map. Arjun was awarded the fastest kid for solving a 105 piece puzzle of the Indian map. His record time was 8 minutes and 15 seconds. We are proud of these kids for making great use of the quarantine time and commend the parents for encouraging them!

Navitha Reddy advises all parents to allow their children to pursue their passion. She says that she never forced her kids to do a specific activity but instead introduced them to extracurricular activities. She says, “Try to introduce kids to new activities apart from studies and books and let them enjoy their childhood blissfully.” You never know where your kids can shine, and that’s precisely what the Reddy brothers have proved. What are your kids’ favorite activities? Comment below and let us know.
