If you are tuned into the pop culture, you might be already aware of how well ace Tennis player Sania Mirza is rocking her pregnancy. In fact, every time she has stepped out during her pregnancy, she has nailed her “baby bump” look. Due next month, Sania has managed to make her entire pregnancy look easy-breezy. You take a pick and she has already done it. Be it tweaking her diet plans or workout routines to meet her nutritional expectations, or even playing a friendly Tennis match along with her sister. The soon-to-be mommy looks all set to embrace this new chapter of her life.

Currently, in her third trimester of pregnancy, Sania is keeping herself physically active by playing, walking, or doing yoga. Back in April this year, Sania took to social media platforms to share the good news with her fans. It was a joint announcement that she made along with her better half, Shoaib Malik. The couple has been married for eight years now and is all geared up to welcome their first baby together. She even took the moment to announce that their child will have the surname ‘Mirza-Malik’ instead of the expected father’s family name, ‘Malik’.

Sania has often shared her mommy diaries with her fans where she has spoken at length about diet, workout, and even shared a few pregnancy tips. She firmly believes that while pregnancy can be unique to each woman, it does not mean that one stops doing things for the entire course of nine months. In fact, she talks about how a woman should prepare her body for the changes that follow a pregnancy; you can simply start by staying active and continuing to lead as normal a life as possible.

However, in her third trimester, Sania has decided to give her body the much-needed rest. She wakes up in the morning somewhere between 9 AM and 10 AM. Her primary goal is to ensure that she feels refreshed since sleep is difficult to come by during the last trimester.

Sania strongly believes in the power of yoga; she not only believes in its benefits for the body but also for the mind. She says that it keeps one mentally as well as physically fit. However, she makes sure that she doesn’t push herself in case she experiences pain. Though it takes time to make peace with the fact that you may not able to do even five percent of what you could do before, she says it is alright.

Sania has a team that guides and supports her during this crucial phase. The team includes a professional masseur who takes care of her prenatal massages, at least two to three times in a week. She also has a dietician who instructs her with respect to the nutrition along with a yoga instructor. While she gained a lot of weight in her early stages of pregnancy, Sania was able to fall back in line with the help of her incredibly supportive team.

Sania once talked about how her dietician suggested that our body often craves for something that it lacks. She highlighted how if you are getting a constant urge to eat anything, you should maybe give it a chance. Sania mentioned how she has incorporated greens into her diet. And, eats an apple on a daily basis, something she picked up from her mother.

When it comes to her pregnancy craving, Sania usually munches on energy bars that are made from dry fruits and jaggery. Stating how she has realized the importance of calcium during the third trimester, she managed to at least drink a glass of milk every day.

Here, at MomJunction, we wish Sania Mirza a beautiful motherhood. Can’t wait to catch a glimpse of tiny Mirza-Malik!
