Babies can be really fascinating. They can simply melt anyoneтАЩs heart just by flashing that endearing smile of theirs. But what if your baby is seeing you for the first time soon after birth? In all probability, youтАЩll expect to be greeted by a crying baby. Or at the most, a sleeping one because the newborn would have worked equally hard to enter this world and does need some well-deserved sleep, right? However, this need not be the rule with every newborn. As one new dad in Brazil recently discovered. Let us tell share with your his amazing story here.
As well know, a fetus develops hearing ability while still being in the womb. It is usually around the 18th week of gestation when a fetus begins to hear (1). From here on, it continues to develop and they can start recognizing certain sounds and get familiar with them (2). This is why parents are often advised to start talking to the baby in the womb to familiarize them with their parentsтАЩ voices. This familiarity with the parentsтАЩ voices is believed to come in handy while soothing the baby after birth.

Flavio Dantas, a resident of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil, was probably aware of this fact. He was extremely happy when he heard of his partner, Tarsila BatistaтАЩs pregnancy. He was excitedly looking forward to seeing his baby. During TarsilaтАЩs pregnancy, Flavio made it a point to talk to his baby inside the womb every single day. According to Tarsila, Flavio would wish his unborn baby girl every morning and tell her how much he loved her. He would also stroke the motherтАЩs womb quite often and say things like тАШheтАЩll always be there for herтАЩ to his baby girl inside the womb. It was quite evident that Flavio was looking forward to the day heтАЩd become a father. The expectant mother also noticed that surprisingly, the baby would respond to his voice by moving inside the womb around the same time each day. But the expectant dad had no idea what his lovely gestures would lead to.

These sweet gestures continued to strengthen the bond between the father and the unborn baby girl. Soon, Tarsila was taken to the Marcilio Dias Naval Hospital in Rio De Janeiro as she was ready to deliver. Quite expectedly, Flavio was excited to meet his daughter, who the couple later named Antonella. When the hospital staff handed over the baby to the parents for their first hug, AntonellaтАЩs response to her father not only surprised Flavio but left everyone else in the room astonished. When the baby was placed on top of the mother, Flavio bent over and said тАШHelloтАЩ in his usual tone. He even repeated the same words that he said to her each day. In turn, Antonella responded with a broad, beaming smile. This left Flavio overwhelmed. He knew he loved his daughter immensely even before she arrived. And now, he realized she loved him as much too. Flavio often describes his love for his daughter to be тАШtoo big to fit inside my chest.тАЩ And Tarsila, seeing the amazing bond between the father and the daughter, believes her baby is a тАШgift sent by God.тАЩ

We often hear about the mother-child bond, but the bond between the father and the child can be equally special. And FlavioтАЩs story is just another shining example of the unconditional love of a father for his child. AntonellaтАЩs gesture sure made it a memorable moment in FlavioтАЩs life. But there was something else that made it even more special. Antonella was born on 11 August 2019 тАУ this date is celebrated as FatherтАЩs Day in Brazil. Now, if this is not a sign of true love, then we donтАЩt know what is!
