The dimpled beauty is a famous, well-loved face of Indian cinema. We haven’t seen much of her on the silver screen lately, but she has been actively sharing her life with us through her social media handles. In 2016, Priety Zinta had tied the knot with Gene Goodenough, who is a financial analyst. This was a private ceremony, one which included close friends and family members. Soon after the wedding, the actress and her husband moved to Los Angeles, where they seemed to have made their home.

August of this year was special for the actress — it marked the completion of twenty-three glorious years as a part of the Bollywood family. Preity shared a post on her social media handles, in which she fondly spoke of her journey as a part of this industry. She started the message with a beautiful quote that meant something along these lines: it is said that those who find an inclination to chase rainbows would have to embrace the possibility of getting drenched in the rain. Also, what’s life without rain? She compared life without rain to the sun without any shade! We agree with her.

Life is filled with ups and downs, and that is something we should all come to terms with. She went on to say that she was celebrating her long journey in the industry with overwhelming gratitude; so many people contributed to her growth and success along the way. She thanked all her colleagues, critics, and fans for playing such a huge role in pulling her up when she was down, but also for pulling her down when her feet left the ground.

Being a well-accomplished actress is only one part of her success story. Preity Zinta is also an entrepreneur, producer, and writer. If we go by her Instagram bio, we’ll also have to add “cricket lover” and “humanitarian” to that list! In the years 2004 and 2005, Priety Zinta regularly wrote columns for BBC News Online. Additionally, she founded her own production company, PZNZ media. That is not all; Preity Zinta is the co-owner of Punjab Kings, the Indian Premier League cricket team. She also became the owner of the Stellenbosch Kings, another cricket team for the South African T20 Global League.

The actress has been a strong advocate for women-centric issues and has even protested against female infanticide. Throughout her time in the film industry, Preity Zinta supported humanitarian causes such as spreading awareness for AIDS and environmental campaigns.

One of her efforts that stood out was her collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), where she fought against human trafficking in India. She actively spread awareness about the cause, the importance of protection and rehabilitation for the victims, and well-deserved punishment for perpetrators of human trafficking crimes. Soon, she became the brand ambassador for an organization that worked towards empowering widows and orphans.

The superwoman is now a supermom, and we can’t help but share in her joy! Several other celebrities, such as Shilpa Shetty, Nargis Fakhri, and Shagun Khanna, congratulated the new mother. We hope to see more of the new mom and her lovely babies and wish the best in health and happiness for the Zinta-Goodenough family! Are you super excited for the new mom too?
