My daughter is the best thing to have ever happened to me. I remember the first time I held her in my arms. The warmth of her smile, the piercing black eyes, her innocent smile, and the sweet subtle smell that lingered on her hair and skin for quite some time. As I held her close and studied her face in the dim light of the nursery, I knew my life would never be the same again. Even through the sleepless nights and the aches and pains of childbirth, just one look at her adorable face gave me the strength and courage I needed. My daughter will always be the prettiest girl in any room. Sure, a mother’s opinion will be biased. But I love her inside and out. Her sweet smile and adventurous spirit remind me to never give up and be the best version of myself.
2. She Is My Best Friend

We enjoy cuddling beneath the blanket on a cold December night watching her favorite Disney movie, shopping for dresses, or sharing an occasional scone. She calls me out when I don’t follow through with my own advice. She taught me it’s okay to admit when you make a mistake and apologize for it. We confide, communicate, and laugh together. I know that there are going to be times when she’ll resent me for not letting her go to a late-night party or when I ask her too many questions about the guy she’s dating. But I’ll always let her know she has her mama to fall back on when things don’t work out the way she’d hoped and need a shoulder to cry on.
3. She Takes Care Of Me

When I’m down with a cold or the flu, my daughter is the one who brings food to my bed and forces me to take my tablets. She checks up on me every few hours and makes sure I get enough rest. She surprises me with presents on birthdays and Mother’s day and makes me feel special.
4. She Believes In Me

When I start to lose faith in myself, what keeps me going is knowing that my little girl looks up to me. She believes her mommy is capable of anything even on my worst days. When you see your little girl aspiring to be like you when she grows up, you work even harder to make her proud.

No matter how many curveballs life throws at me, one look at my daughter’s contagious smile gives me hope that things will work out in the end. She gives me the strength to get back on my feet and makes me want to believe in the good in the world.

It’s special, unique, and unbreakable. I am aware that she is a little girl who believes her mommy is the best, and we’ll definitely have arguments and fights in her teenage years. She may even resent me for a while for the choices that I make. But I know that the bond we share is precious and we will still come out to the other side stronger than before.

She is the best of me and her dad. She has the quirky traits of her father that made me fall for him and the temper of her mother which makes her impossible to deal with at times. But she is kind, compassionate, and loving. And I’m proud that she is our daughter.
My dearest daughter, you bring excitement and joy to our lives. You’ve made me a better person and taught me love, kindness, and forgiveness. I’m forever grateful for the unconditional love you’ve showered upon me. Even though it was me who gave birth to you, you gave me a new life and changed me for the better.
