It goes without saying that the royals have a very different life from us commoners. At first glance, it might seem that everything is nice and rosy, and privileges are handed to them on a platter (a golden one, might we add). However, there is more than what meets the eye. Children of royalty have to abide by specific rules that simply cannot be compromised. Each movement is scrutinized, and they are expected to meet every standard of perfection. 1.Choice Of Games Is Limited

Children of royals are encouraged to play games. All work and no play make Jack a dull boy, after all. However, certain games are prohibited. For example, the children of the British royal family are not allowed to play Monopoly. Sports and outdoor activities are highly encouraged among royals, mainly because these games are great for physical and cognitive development. The children of commoners spend hours on end with their gadgets, but screen time for royals is close to non-existent.
2.Wardrobe Is Endless; Choices Are Limited
Royal families have all the money to splurge on clothes, but there are specific ground rules for dressing their children. Boy babies of the British royal family must wear only shorts until the age of eight. Similarly, children of the royal family of Japan are only seen wearing their traditional Japanese attire before the public.

Royalty comes with certain responsibilities, and royal children are not exempt from these duties. Royal children have to accompany their parents in some cases if there is a matter of international affairs. An excellent example of this is the Moroccan royal family. Since the age of ten, the child of the royal family has been seen attending several official meetings and ceremonies alongside his father.
4.There Is No Flying Together
Royal children, particularly the ones who are direct heirs to the throne, are not allowed to fly with the current heir to the throne or the sibling who is also a direct heir to the throne. This is a strict protocol that has to be followed. It is done to prevent the lineage from ceasing if the heirs meet a tragic end due to an unforeseen accident.
5.Not All Foods Are Allowed

Certain food items, particularly the ones that are known to cause allergies, are off the menu in the royal kitchen. Children of the British royal family, for example, are not allowed to eat shellfish. While traveling, they are barred from having seafood.
6.Their Upbringing Is Different
Children from the royal family have a very different upbringing from the rest of us. There are certain etiquette rules that they simply have to follow to the T. When they take part in official ceremonies, they have to behave in a particular way before the public eye. There are etiquette classes that they have to attend to perfect this.

Parents of royal children can’t name their children whatever they please. They will have to give them a first name, middle name, and surname, and the name of a particular country often accompanies this. In some countries like Britain, royal children are not allowed to have nicknames.
8.The Birth Of A Royal
The whole nation, and sometimes the world, waits in anticipation for the birth of a royal. This event is a massive deal for the royal family since it determines the lineage. Royal families across the world opt for the best doctors for the delivery of the newborn. In Britain, most members of the royal family choose to give birth to their child at home. Other members choose the best hospitals in the world. A lot of secrecy surrounds the birth of a child, particularly the gender reveal. In countries like Britain, the Queen is the first recipient of the gender reveal.
It is easy to envy the lives of royal babies. After all, they are given the best of things. However, the life of royal children is more than just privileges.
