Sameera Reddy’s Shares Her Pregnancy Journey, Says She Loved Being Big And Beautiful!

We know in our hearts that pregnancy is beautiful. You, as a mother, are carrying a tiny little human being in your body, and you know that you will grow to love this child like no one else would. Having said that, there is no denying that pregnancy can do a number on you. Your body faces numerous challenges, and you may find it difficult to come to terms with all of them. Additionally, after pregnancy, the chances are that you may or may not go back to having the kind of body you did before becoming pregnant.

Now, this isn’t something that you’re going through alone — every pregnant woman goes through this, including our favorite celebrities! So when our celebrities, who often have bodies to die for, show the hardships they face, it eases the pressure that society puts on us to “bounce” back to our pre-pregnant selves. Sameera Reddy is one such advocate of body positivity during and after pregnancy. We enjoy her social media posts that highlight that your body is precious no matter what it goes through, and being big during and after pregnancy is beautiful too!

We loved one of her most recent posts on social media, where she spoke about how she loved being big and beautiful right till she gave birth. A series of pictures accompanied this post, in which she was pregnant with her daughter Nyra. It was taken the day before the birth of Nyra, and she recalls having so much good energy during that shoot.

She addressed all pregnant mothers, saying that it’s normal to feel several bodily and hormonal changes during pregnancy. Still, it’s also important not to forget that these nine months of pregnancy may as well be the most memorable time of your life, so try as much as you can to enjoy it.

This is true, and it can make such a difference when it comes from a celebrity. Mothers are under pressure to get back in shape soon after their pregnancy, no matter how complicated or not childbirth was. The actress has spoken about the struggle she faced after delivery as well.

She shared that soon after the birth of her first child, Hans, she expected to get back to her pre-pregnancy body, much like other celebrities in the fraternity. However, nine months had passed, and she found that she still weighed 105 kilograms. This, in addition to being cut off from the film industry and constant social media trolls didn’t help her case, and she soon found herself struggling with postpartum depression. Things got worse when she was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, where hair fell in patches from the scalp. She decided to address her problems head-on and took to homeopathy, and by the end of two years, she felt like a new person.

When Sameera got pregnant the second time, she told herself that she would do things her way. She shared how she was forty, bloated, and scared, but despite all this, she took things in her stride and even went so far as to do a bikini shoot underwater! Might we add that she looked splendid!

This went on to be the start of something new for her. Sameera soon became a source of inspiration for women struggling with their bodies during and after pregnancy. Since then, she has been vocal about looking beyond the glamour associated with social media and has encouraged women to be their authentic selves!
