Actor Shaheer Sheikh had once said that he always wanted a baby girl, and it looks like his dream has come true. Shaheer, along with his wife Ruchikaa Kapoor, are both enjoying the arrival of their first child, a beautiful baby girl — just as he had hoped for!
His fans were in for a surprise when the actor tied the knot with Ruchikaa Kapoor in November last year. Ruchika Kapoor is the Executive Vice President and Creative Producer at Balaji Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd. Soon after, the couple announced that they were pregnant and expecting their first child together. On the 10th of September this year, they had their little baby girl.

The proud father opened up about this huge milestone, saying that he essentially lost count of the days, and he feels so delighted just looking at his baby girl when he holds her in his arms. He said that he and his wife are truly blessed to have a little angel in their lives.
Parenthood is exciting, but it also comes with its own set of challenges, more so when it is in the middle of a global pandemic. A lot of expectant mothers are worried and anxious about pregnancy and childbirth in these uncertain times. When asked about his experience, the actor spoke about how he made sure he followed all the necessary precautions. The actor said that he happened to be big on cleanliness and hygiene well before the pandemic hit, to the point that he would sanitize things that he came in contact with as and when needed. So, when the pandemic began, he took this more seriously, so all the safety protocols were followed to the T.

Considering the care he took to keep himself and his pregnant wife safe, Ruchikaa could relax a bit without worrying too much about being pregnant during these difficult times. Shaheer also went on to share that his wife was confident in his abilities to be a great father, as she has witnessed firsthand how responsible and meticulous he is as a person.
The actor has been vocal about his love for children and even went on to say that childbirth is one of the biggest miracles. In fact, on one occasion when he was asked what he would do if he woke up one day as a woman, the actor said, without missing a beat, that he would like to be pregnant! He went on to explain that as a man, the only limitation that they face is their inability to birth a child, and this is a superpower that only women possess. The fact that a woman is capable of bringing life to this world makes them so much more stronger, both physically and emotionally, he added.
When you’re standing at the threshold of fatherhood, it is possible for you to freak out, but Shaheer seems to be taking it in his stride. Excited at the prospect of fatherhood, he says that he has always been inclined to such a role. In addition to playing a father on screen, he also has real-life experience with his nieces and nephews, who seem to have given him all the training he needs! He went on to say that he loves being in the presence of children, and it is when he is around kids that he feels most comfortable and like himself.

In one of his interviews, the actor shared that he doesn’t really have much of an idea, but one thing is for sure — if his little one has a dream to pursue, he won’t be the one standing in her way. He believes that everyone should follow their dreams, no matter what. He also said that he wouldn’t be the kind of father who forces his thoughts on his child. We stand with him on this one — parents often think they can impose their thoughts and conviction on their children, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Children too have a mind of their own, and as parents, we can handhold them in the right direction, but it is up to them to decide what’s best for themselves. He did add something special, though — that he will definitely spoil his little girl. Well, what are fathers for, right? So all that spoiling is definitely justified! We already know that the new father is overjoyed and brimming with excitement, and he can’t wait for all the milestones both he and his wife will be witnessing alongside their little one.
