The year 2020 has been extremely special for the Kundra family as Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra became parents to baby girl Samisha via surrogacy. On February 15, the couple took to their respective social media handles to break the news of Samisha’s birth to the world. However, the new parents had no idea that things would take a drastic turn after that. Just two weeks after welcoming the baby into their home, the national lockdown was announced by the government. The lockdown imposed a lot of challenges in the lives of newbie parents. In an interview with a leading news portal, the actress revealed about the hiccups she had faced during this time. Because her daughter was conceived by surrogacy, Shilpa wasn’t breastfeeding her child and was completely relying on formula powder for feeding the baby. The actress said that though some people might not consider it to be a problem, finding the right formula powder was an issue since the imports had shut down. Elaborating on the same, the actress further stated that since her daughter was used to a certain formula, she was extremely hesitant to change it.

The dose which is supposedly given within the first 12 weeks got delayed by 2 more weeks which made the actress even more hesitant to step out of the house. The 44-year-old was extremely cautious about Samisha’s health that she even decided against taking her to the courtyard.

In view of the current situation, Shipa revealed that she has developed a different outlook of things since a lot has changed post lockdown. After some moral introspection, the actress also started thinking about all of her materialistic possessions and finally came to the realization that it ultimately doesn’t add much value to our lives. She further talked about the needs and wants and how it has to be segregated from one another. With her house located right near the beach, the actress revealed how she has never seen the beach so clean and talked about the damages done by us to our planet.
