Daughters are precious. If you have a daughter, you will probably agree that the relationship your share with her is irreplaceable. Your daughter is more than just your child. They are your friends, confidantes, travel companions, dress-up buddies, and so much more. They lend a helping hand in times of need, give you support, and often are the glue that holds a family together. They are a blessing in disguise, and every parent has probably wished for a daughter at some point in their lives if they don’t already have one. The former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen is blessed with not one but two gorgeous daughters, Renee Sen and Alisah Sen. The three of them make a remarkable trio, and we cannot help but admire their bond.

On February 7th, 2021, Sushmita Sen shared a video on Instagram of her daughter Alisah Sen singing. The actress captured her 12-year-old daughter singing the song Wondering from the movie High School Musical with an angelic voice, and it’s too sweet to miss. The proud mamma shared the video on Instagram and expressed her appreciation for her daughter Alisah in her caption by saying that Alisah’s voice echoes in her heart. Sushmita Sen is more than a pretty face. She is an exceptionally courageous woman who is unafraid to challenge societal norms. When the actress was 24 years old, she adopted her first daughter Renee Sen. Ten years later, Sushmita adopted her second daughter Alisah Sen. Many people believe that adopting a child was an act of charity, but the former model stated that it was self-preservation and it stabilized her life. She says that it was her wisest decision, and she is privileged to embrace motherhood. Her Instagram is filled with pictures of the three divas, and it’s beyond adorable.
In an interview with a popular news portal, Sushmita opened up about her challenges to adopt as a single parent. She said that being a single parent might be romantic, but it is not easy. The Indian actress said that she went to court for her first daughter Renee. She was trying to adopt a daughter since she was 22 years old, but they didn’t allow it. Finally, after a while, she was given custody.
The former Femina Miss India further added that adopting her second daughter was a lot harder. She said that the fight in court was a long one compared to her first adoption because India’s rules state that one has to adopt a son after a daughter, and it can’t be a daughter after a daughter. However, the valiant actress did not give up. She wanted to adopt a daughter and fought for a long time to make that happen. Sushmita said that it was a long wait, but in 2010 Alisah came along.

On January 3rd, 2021, Sushmita shared a poster of her first daughter’s picture on a magazine cover. Renee Sen, who is 21-years-old is following in her mother’s footsteps. She is all set to debut in a short film called Suttabaazi, and her mother was thrilled and excited for her. She expressed how proud she was of her little girl, and it was truly heartwarming. Now, it seems like her younger daughter Alisah is on the path to become a singer, and proud mommy cannot hold herself back from appreciating her beautiful voice.
