With the corona virus outbreak, the daily rut that we were all stuck in has changed. There have been many adjustments and alterations to our lives that we never thought we would have to do. Because staying at home has become the norm, schools, colleges, and offices have declared that the online medium is the way to go. And while there are pros and cons to this form of living, some challenges are bigger than the others. One of the pros of staying home and going on with daily life is that you do not have to deal with commuting every day in traffic. You get to stay in the comfort and safety of your home and are not exposed to pollution. You also get to eat throughout the day (not necessarily a good thing), have more time on your hands, and do not have to worry about dressing up every day.

These are some of the advantages of staying home. But what about the cons? While work from home can get quite stressful for some people because of the blending in personal space and office space, others enjoy it because of the comfort they have at home. But it’s not the same case for teachers who are conducting online classes. They have a tough time trying to keep the students engaged, and here’s a perfect example of one such teacher whose photo went viral on the internet.
Virtual Challenges

In elementary school, teachers find it challenging to keep kids engaged. They have to come up with creative solutions to keep the kids interested. They spend a lot of time coming up with creative ways to interact with the kids and get through to them. At a young age, children learn faster when there is a hands-on learning experience. However, with distance learning, that is not possible. Teachers have to work twice as hard to keep kids’ attention span, and recently, a video that went viral on TikTok perfectly sums that up.

The video garnered close to 7 million views and was shared multiple times on Twitter. It shows a teacher trying different ways to grab the attention of her students. Her enthusiasm and energy are what made waves on the internet. The teacher is conducting her classes on Zoom and goes over her lesson plans. If you watch the video clearly, it is pretty evident that the teacher struggles to get the students to respond to the lesson plans that she is discussing.
She asks one of her students a question and shows them a picture of a microphone to indicate that they have to turn it on. The dedication and commitment to teaching her students are truly commendable. It is not an easy job and requires a lot of patience. The teacher in the video possesses all the qualities of a great educationalist, and proves that being a teacher is not a walk in the park.
More Appreciation, More Dedication

Teachers shape the minds of future generations. So it’s vital that they inculcate the right kind of values in the kids they teach. By being dedicated and committed to the role of teaching, they not only show the kids that education is essential but also teach them that it’s important to give your 100% to a job.
Teachers face a lot of challenges and are not appreciated enough. This video proves that they deserve much more respect, appreciation, and praise for their work to keep the children interested and excited about school. Granted that it is hard to engage with many toddlers, primarily through a virtual space, but teachers worldwide are doing it, and they deserve the applause!
