There is no denying that life has been drastically different after a global pandemic. Ever since the novel coronavirus, social distancing and quarantining have become the norm. Stepping outdoors with masks, avoiding crowded places, and maintaining a distance of at least six feet is the new normal. While it has been hard for everyone to stay away from what they love, moms have had a really tough time coping with this change. No schools, colleges, offices, and no girls’ night outs, picnics, and spa days to help moms take the edge off. Mothers have embraced the new normal, but it’s challenging. Some of them are waiting for things to go back to the way they were so that they can enjoy some of the simple pleasures of life. Here are some things moms would like to do the second life goes back to pre-corona times:

1. Work At A Cafe
Remember those days when you could make a cafe, coffee shop, or a juice joint your workstation? Sure, it’s still work, but sipping on hot coffee while you get things done does not seem half as bad. Fun times!
2. Visit Disneyland
Disneyland is not just for kids, and those who say so have (obviously) not been there! You visit Disneyland with your kids and tell people it’s for them, but you know you enjoy it just as much (maybe more). Thanks to the pandemic, you have no clue when you’ll get the chance.
3. Go Out With The Girls
There is nothing more refreshing than spending the day with your girlfriends. No one can ever understand you like your girlfriends do, and that’s what you need to keep doing (sometimes). You probably miss sipping on wine and gorging on some delicious food with your chicas.
4. Trip With The Girls
What’s better than a day out with your girlfriends? A whole vacation with them. It doesn’t have to be a long one; even a weekend getaway will do. But you cannot wait to dress up, talk, laugh, and sip on some mimosas while chilling on a beach with your girl gang.
5. Me-Time
You probably didn’t have a lot of me-time before, but somehow it’s gotten worse now. With your partner and kids always at home, it becomes impossible for you to carve out some time for yourself. They expect you to be at their beck and call, and that is annoying if not infuriating.
6. Concert Nights
Music makes everything better. You probably cannot wait to go for a live music concert and get lost in the music. It’s one of the most romantic things to experience with your partner, and you probably miss it — a lot.
7. Visit Grandparents
Everyone knows that kids love their grandparents. It’s great because they are always ready to babysit while you take some time off to spend with your partner or yourself. Grandparents and grandchildren share a special bond, and, unfortunately, your kids cannot enjoy that.
Hugs are simply the best. They make you feel warm and fuzzy on the outside and inside. If you’re a hugger, you probably feel the need to share some hugs with your loved ones who you haven’t seen in a while. In the meantime, hug your kids, partner, and your furry baby!
9. Party! Party! Party!
As a mom, you probably do not enjoy loud and crowded parties often. However, you like to have the option to party when you feel like it, and the pandemic has taken away that choice. It’s always fun to put on your dancing shoes, gulp down some drinks and move to the rhythm of the beat like there’s no tomorrow.
These are just a few things moms probably cannot wait to do when things get back to normal. But the question is, will they? If life right now is the new normal, you will have to do the things on this list less often and more carefully. What’s the one thing you miss most about the old normal? Comment below and let us know.
