Game of Thrones is all the rage today. From the evil little Peter Dinklage essaying Tyron Lannister, to the hulking figure of Jason Momoa portraying Khal Drogo, the series isn’t short on interesting characters.
While it is understandable that most of the youth lapped it all up, one teenage son decided to quiz his father about some of the characters that appear on the TV series. This is what went down.
1. Thug
When dad said Thug, he was probably referring to one Sandor Clegane, otherwise nicknamed the Hound in the series. We don’t know how or why this dad assumed Sandor was Thug, but we’ll forgive him this time.
2. Commander of the uh Jon Snow
Okay, we’re all rolling our eyes at this one. But, forgive this father. Chances are, he’s seen three episodes tops. Incidentally, Commander of the uh Jon Snow is a little someone called Mance Rayder.
3. Sexy Hooker
Well, this father is a naughty old man isn’t he. What he callously refers to as the Sexy Hooker is, in fact, Shae.
4. Blacksmith Kid
Pops, we thought you’d get this one right. For god’s sake, the guy is called bastard. Does it get any easier?
5. Lord Weasel
Although we understand why this dad probably said weasel, the character is actually someone called Lord Baelish. At least, dad got half the name right, eh?
6. Borak. Hogar? â Hodor
Now we know that a name like Hodor is tough to remember, and we can completely understand why this dad said Hogar. But Borak? What was he thinking? Oh wait…he wasn’t. Go figure.
7. Hilda?
Another one of Mr. Martin’s tough names. Ygrette is an uncommon name, and chances are you’ve said the name wrong many times. But Hilda isn’t even close to what your worst attempt sounded like.
8. Mercenary Who Gives Wishes
Trust dad to do this. But remind him that Jaqen H’ghar is, in fact, the mercenary who gives wishes. Nice try dad.
9. Little Kickass Stark. Mila?
Well, this one is among the best. Little Kickass Stark sounds like an amalgam of Iron Man and Kickass. But thankfully, we know that this daddy meant Arya Stark.
10. Ned. Nedder. â Ned Stark
Game of Thrones does have some weirdly named characters. But names don’t get any easier than Ned Stark. Again, just like Lord Weasel, at least daddy got half of it right.
