It was on 27 August 2020 that the couple took to their respective social media handles to share the news of their pregnancy. They wrote, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.” The 32-year-old was glowing donning a polka dot dress with smock elastic bustline and ruffle detailing at the wrist. In the same interview for RCB’s YouTube channel, the dad-to-be revealed that it was the first time that he and Anushka got to spend so much time together ever since they started dating. He said that there is no better feeling than staying at home with the one you love, and though it was tough at the beginning, they created a routine and got used to it.

It is definitely surprising to know that the couple never got to spend enough time together. But like most families, the lockdown helped them spend quality time with each other. In a previous interview with a leading magazine, the actress also shared how they hardly got to spend any time together ever since they got married. Anushka revealed that they had only spent 21 days together in the first 6 months of their marriage.

The couple first met in 2013 for the television shoot commercial for a shampoo brand. In an interview with a television sports reporter, the Indian skipper revealed that he was completely nervous at the thought of sharing a screen with a professional actor. But the two instantly hit it off and realized that they had a lot in common, including their middle-class family background even though both of them hail from different worlds of entertainment. In 2016, the couple reportedly had a fall out with the duo unfollowing each other on various social media platforms, with marriage cited as the reason behind their lovers’ tiff. However, both of them reconciled shortly after and a few years later, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy on December 11, 2017. And the rest is history!

Are you excited to see them both take on the role of parenting?
