What Is The Appropriate Hairstyle For Popping Out A Baby?

Congratulations! Your due date is around the corner and you are about to give birth to a precious tiny angel very soon!

When you are pregnant, the crazy labor experiences that you might have heard from others can give you jitters in the stomach (pun intended!). You might not even feel sure of how well you are going to tackle your own delivery. Don’t worry, we have your back!

We are aware that there are innumerable things you need to plan while preparing for your labor and delivery. In fact, you might be done with most of it already. You have made the bookings for your hospital delivery room, you are ready with your emergency delivery kit, and you have even decided a name for your baby.

In this elaborate process, you can perhaps forget about a few minute things here and there. The ones that seem inconsequential in the face of labor pains, not-as-effective-as-promised epidural, or the labor-induced hallucinations. Here, we are talking about one such thing. Your hair! And, what do you exactly do with it before you are all set for delivery?

Why Bother About It?

Most of you might not even remember later about your hairdo during the labor. If you have already delivered once, you will know what we are talking about. At the most, you might have just combed your hair once before the hard labor would have set in. Or maybe, not even that! And, we understand. There is too much going on for you to be bothered about your hair.

However, looking back at the pictures of the delivery duration can make you regret it just a teeny weeny bit. That messy hair might make you wish that you can redo the entire thing. Not the labor and delivery bit. But, just for one amazing click with your baby (who has now arrived!). Sit back and relax though! We are here to make this decision simple for you.

Hairdo During Labor!

While your long hair might look pretty on most days, it just becomes a tangled bunch of mess after the ever-so-intense labor and delivery. The most important thing to remember is to avoid hairstyles that can get troublesome when you lie down (because that is what you will mostly be doing).

The best thing that you can do is comb your hair and tie them up properly. Does it not sound like a wonderful idea? All tied up in a nice ponytail, they will stay out of your way all through the laboring and sweating! Not only will your hair not bother you throughout, but they will also look great when you put them down later on!

You can also opt for a warrior-like side braid, helping you to channel your inner fighter. After all, you need her the most during your delivery – the toughest of all challenges! And, what about a top-knot? The diva in you might just wake up and you will be ready to take on the entire world!

That complete hippie style can also do the trick – it might end up calming you down! Tying your hair up in milk braids will also help keep your unruly hair in check. Also, you can always pick those free shower caps from a hotel. When the time comes, make a messy bun and just put on that shower cap! If you are not in a mood to tie your hair, you can wear a sports hairband instead. After all, isn’t delivery the most intense of all workouts?

And, if you don’t have the time to do any of it, it is alright. After all, chances are that your hair might get messy even after all those efforts! Labor and delivery is no mean task, right? Best of luck to all you soon-to-be mommies out there!
