While it’s common for people to make plans for the new year, several people fail to follow through on it and give up by the end of the second week. Some of the things you look forward to from the new year don’t work out as planned, and some you cannot wait to begin. However, there are some plans that you cannot wait for, and when it works out, you are more than thrilled for it. Parenthood is one such journey that every couple looks forward to embracing. Many celebrity couples were expecting their first baby in 2021, and January has been memorable for some famous couples like Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli and Babita Phogat-Vivek Suhag as they welcomed their first child.
Babita Phogat, the gold medalist wrestler, turned politician, and her husband Vivek Suhag welcomed a baby boy on Monday, January 11th, 2020. They are all set to embrace the next phase of their marriage and become newbie parents. Vivek Suhag took to Instagram to share the good news with fans, and we are nothing short of thrilled about it. The picture he shared of the new baby boy was taken in the hospital soon after the baby’s birth. The proud parents look happy and are all set to embark upon the new journey of parenthood.

Sharing the picture on social media, Vivek wrote in his caption that they are delighted and proud of the blessing. They thanked God and expressed their joy of being blessed with their little angel. He wrote, “It’s a day of great happiness for us as we introduce our baby boy to the world”. The picture received a lot of love, and wishes came pouring in for the new parents.
The couple met during a wrestling event in Delhi in 2014 for the first time, and it was love at first sight. Vivek said that he gave his heart to the Dangal girl in the first meeting when they felt an instant connection. The new father said that what he loved the most about Babita was her simplicity. Since the two of them were wrestlers, they continued to meet and become closer until they decided to become each others’ forever. In 2015, the couple decided to tie the knot and were soon engaged. It was a reclusive ceremony. They kept it a secret until 2019, when Babita took to Instagram to make it official.

The couple tied the knot on December 1st, 2019. They had a lavish wedding but kept it private and celebrated it in Balali, Haryana, their ancestral village. Their guest list was limited, and Babita wore a gorgeous red designer lehenga. Instead of the traditional seven pheras, the couple took an additional one to support the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” initiative. It was a meaningful gesture and showed us how much Babita and Vivek support female rights.

The movie Dangal which became a super hit film was based on Babita and Geeta Phogat. Babita won the gold medal in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and is an inspiration to many women. In a world where women are not given equal rights, Babita and her sister proved that women can do anything and achieve success in anything they set their minds to.
Babita and Vivek are thrilled about their baby boy. The wrestler couple has now entered into a new journey in their lives, and we cannot wait to see what they have in store. We wish them good health and success for the future!
